Over the past couple of months we’ve been working hard on a branding project for a new client. The project is nearly done and ready to be launched, and we couldn’t be happier with the end result. But it did get us thinking about some of our designs and ideas that never get to see the light of day.
Early on in this project we’d given our client two routes to choose from. We loved both routes and knew both met the brief and would work nicely for what the company is aiming to achieve. The client picked route one, which we were super happy with, meaning we cracked on with the development and implementation. But what about the route that got away? No one thinks about route two, left to gather dust in the dark lonely corners, somewhere towards the back of the server whimpering ‘why me?’ Once held in great esteem as one of the greatest options for our client, would now never see the light of day.
Well, we don’t think that’s good enough…
We’re going to be Tweeting and snapping some of our work that’s gotten away. Let’s do it for the routes not taken, the designs not approved or the clients who pulled the plug. Let’s give our ideas and designs one last ‘Hurrah!’ before we send them packing back to the dead-zone of our server.
